Resistors and Can-Bus Decoders for HID and LED Lights.

The resistors and decoders are for when you need a load or resistance to the value of a filament in a halogen bulb. The decoders and resistors are used when you upgrade your halogen lights to led or hid and you either get an error message on the dashboard or your high beam light won't come on. The decoders also are EMC (Electro Magnetic Compliant) so they can be used for Anti-Interference in radios when you get static from light bars, driving lights, or hid lights.

Resistors.

The resistors come in 25w or 50w and are used to create more load in the circuit for if you get an error message or your high beam light won't come on. The 25w resistors are usually used for indicators or stop and tail lights to give it more load so they blink at the correct rate, or need the load to actually be able to switch the lights on. The 50w resistors are used for headlights when you need to increase the load or resistance that is in the filament of a halogen bulb, when you have upgraded them from halogen to led or hid, and the high beam won't come on, or the computer won't switch the lights on.

Can-Bus Decoders

The can-bus de-coders also mimic the resistance of a filament in a halogen bulb when you upgrade them from halogen to hid or led. The de-coders are a bit different to the 50w resistors as they are not analogue, but electronic. This can be helpful for sophisticated computers when they need a "pulse" type signal. The can-Bus decoders send a signal to the computer so that it recognises the lights and enables the system to operate correctly.

Radio Interference, Anti-Static Properties

The decoders also have anti-interference properties for when you buy HID or LED driving lights, light bars, work lights, or light kits, fit them, and then realize you are getting static or radio noise interference. The decoders eliminate this problem by isolating the circuit and not allowing the earthing problems caused by some of these lights. The EMC (Electro Magnetic Compliant) decoders are an easy plug and play fix to stop radio interference after fitting lights to your vehicle.

Indicator, Stop/Tail, and Wedge Bulb Decoders
