In terms of brightness of HID over LED, even though LED can match the lumen of HID, the penetration of HID over LED is still twice as much. For example, if you get a 35w 3500lm LED Work Lamp, and Put it next to a 35w 3500lm HID Work Lamp, you would still get more light distance and width out of the HID. The light-source (HID) is a High Intensity Discharge light which is extremely bright at the focal point, LED generally need a lot more LED's in the light to produce the same distance and width as HID, and they cost more. 4 Inch to 5 Inch, 6 Inch, and 4x5 Inch HID Work Lights.

The 4-5 Inch work lamp (WL500) is a super compact light (only 110x110mm) which is perfect for tractors, trucks, forklifts, mining vehicles, harvesters, forestry vehicles, and other work machinery. The WL500 come in 35w, 55w, 70w, and 100w. The 35w and 55w are internal ballasts, and the 70w and 100w are IP68 rated external ballasts. The WL500 will light up a 70x200mtr area of usable light (real light) at the minimum and up to 80x400mtrs on the 100w lights.

Which Colour is Best for Work Lamps in HID.

Getting the right colour temperature has a lot to do with personal preference. Scientists tell us that our eyes have evolved to see the contrast of objects best at around midday sunlight (around 5500-5700k). Some clients who are more sensitive to a bright white light and swear that 4300k allows them to see better in high dust areas and foggy environments.
